Traditional Relationship Values That Still Work

psych-quotes:

When we think back to old-fashioned relationships we often think of gender inequality and stereotypical roles that don’t fit in today’s society. But, there are some traditional relationship values that are still alive today and remain important in modern relationships:

·        Chivalry. Despite what you’ve heard, chivalry isn’t dead. There’s always room for more of it in relationships and there’s nothing wrong with holding the door open for your partner. The modern twist is that it doesn’t always have to be the guy doing things for the women, but instead both parties can be chivalrous and respectful towards each other.

·        Manners. Manners are always important in a relationship, even when you’re comfortable around each other and can relax and be yourself. There’s never any reason to be rude or totally let yourself go in a relationship. Keep your manners up and say please and thank you and show that you care enough to make an effort.

·        Respect. Respect is an important factor in any relationship, especially if you want it to be a successful one. Both partners should respect each other and their lives, families, choices, etc. equally. No one person should dominate the relationship and take priority while the other person is made to feel less important or valued.

·        Honesty. Being honest was important in the olden days and it still is today. Lying and deceiving your partner has never been a good way to act in a relationship. Being open and honest with each other will never go out of style.

Such a great idea

Zeroth: You must play the game.
First: You can’t win.
Second: You can’t break even, except on a very cold day.
Third: It doesn’t get that cold.

Zeroth: If A is in equilibrium with B and C, B and C are in equilibrium with each other -> All energy is the same

First: Energy is always conserved -> you can’t get any energy for free

Second: Entropy always increases -> any energy you do get will slowly disappear because of entropy

Third: Entropy is only zero at 0 degrees Kelvin. But you would need to cool anything an infinite number of times to reach 0 Kelvin -> You can’t escape entropy because you can never get cold enough
